Murders, Rivalries and Conspiracies. Private Tour of Middle Ages Florence

The dark side of Florence revealed, before and during the Renaissance

This is one of my favourite tours because. . . no doubt, Florence is the city of beauty and the Renaissance but there is something else to discover.

The bloody fights and rivalries between the richest Florentine families that allowed, among other things, the Medici family to gain and wield absolute power for more than three centuries.

Let’ s walk along the medieval streets of the city to learn the dirty tricks merchants used to expand their wealth. Let’s see how people were publicly punished as a warning against insolvency. Let’s look at the few remaining tower houses, built to prevent assaults during the night. . .mIn a word, I am more than glad to show you the dark side of Florence!
