The BAPTISTERY – a beautiful architectural jewel whose interior is resplendent in mosaics from the 13th century. The history of the Baptistery is closely tied to the history of the Florentines themselves, who see in this ancient monument a symbol of civic and religious unity.

THE CATHEDRAL MUSEUM (Museo Opera del Duomo)

Completely renovated and modernized, the Cathedral Museum is considered to be one of the most interesting museums in Europe. It houses some of Florence’s most precious art works, such as Michelangelo’s Bandini Pietà and Donatello’s statue of Maria Magdalene.
